Last Updated: 01 December 2025Thank you for shopping with Thuto Ke Thato (“TKT”).
This Returns & Refund Policy explains when refunds are granted and the conditions that apply to digital and physical products.

1. Digital Products — Non-Returnable and Non-Refundable

All Thuto Ke Thato flashcards and digital learning materials are delivered instantly via download.
Because digital files cannot be returned once accessed, all sales are final after the download link has been opened or the file has been downloaded.
Why Digital Products Cannot Be Returned
Under ECTA Section 42(2)(g), the 7-day cooling-off period does not apply to goods which, by reason of their nature, cannot be returned once “unsealed.”
For digital products:
- Opening the download link
- Downloading the file
- Accessing the file
- Activating the license
…all constitute “unsealing” the product.
Therefore:Once the digital file is downloaded or accessed, the right to cancel is waived. This is standard across digital commerce.

2. When Refunds Are Allowed for Digital Products (CPA & ECTA Compliance)

Refunds will be granted if:2.1. The file is defective, corrupt, or cannot be opened
We will first attempt to:
- provide a fresh download link,
- resend the files, or
- deliver an alternative format.

If the product materially differs from what was advertised, you may request:
- a replacement, or
- a refund.
2.3. Duplicate Charges
If you were billed more than once for the same product, we will refund the duplicate charge.
2.4. Wrong Item Purchased (Case-by-Case)
If you purchased the wrong item and have not accessed the download link, we may refund or exchange at our discretion.

3. Defective Product Procedure (Required under CPA)

If you believe your digital product is defective:
1. Email us at [email protected]
2. Include:
    - Your name
    - Order number
    - Description of the issue
    - Screenshot or error message (if possible)
We will:
- Verify the issue
- Attempt replacement first
- Process a refund only if replacement fails
This aligns with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) implied warranty of quality.

About US

Thuto Ke Thato was born out of a real gap — a personal one.

I became a father, and like many parents raising children in multicultural homes, I wanted my child to grow up confident in who they are and where they come from.

The Search for Sepedi Resources
My wife and I come from different cultures, and I wanted to pass down Sepedi in a way that felt natural, joyful, and age-appropriate.
But when I started looking for resources — especially for babies and toddlers — I found almost nothing. The material that existed was either too advanced, too academic, or simply not designed for young children. Nothing helped me build a bond with my child through my language. The Birth of the Idea
So I started creating my own tools: Flashcards. Simple books. Small activities that made language learning playful, colourful, and connected to identity.
And I realised something important: I wasn’t the only parent struggling with this. There are thousands of us raising children across cultures, across languages, across identities — all looking for ways to make our heritage feel alive at home. That’s how Thuto Ke Thato began: as a father trying to keep his language alive in his child’s daily life.

**Our Vision: Building a Cultural Legacy
**
The vision is simple but powerful: Create resources that strengthen identity, deepen family bonds, and give African children characters and stories that look like them, sound like them, and feel like home.
We are committed to building this legacy with you, starting with:
- Beginner Flashcards & Books
- Cultural Storybooks
- Characters that evolve as our children grow
